He has been doing it for years.. I personally know Pat and he has had drama throughout his priest hood..I had an affair with him for two years on and off until I got tired of it and moved... Sadly, he left the priest hood for another girl and just returned about two years ago... This guy is a sweet talker but quick to talk about people once they turn their back.. Believe me, its better he is gone.. I wish the parish heals quickly and moves on.. Maybe now he can support our kid..

Priest getting married and having sex is not the problem...these men cannot serve a wife completely in a marriage and be a priest at the same time it is a conflict in the real world and in the spiritual life. I work with many a priests and in the long run it is the women who comes out loosing. because a full time Catholic Priest has little or no time to dedicate to children and a wife, and he cannot hold another job even for income, which means the wife has to work and be the bread earner...many a protestant ministers wife have complaint about how little they see their husband and how little time a full time protestant minister spends with his family...a lot of issues are never brought up...these women are living in a dream world...thinking that being married to a priests is great...just as some of the women married to deacons and protestant pastors, who will tell you the reality...Fathers cousin cannot be dedicated to God if she has broken the rules of the Catholic Church set down by its authority, fathers actions destroys his ministry and the souls and trust of many in the long run and again brings to light the fact that sex was more important at the time than what his actions will cause in the long run...love can be express in many ways even deeper than sex...and sin is sin, and in the long run harm not only the Church but the people of God who trust and had faith in this priest...the women should have known better and is not aware of the deep harm she has done to father and to the Catholic Church....I am married and sex has not prevented my marriage from having problems and sex does not solve the daily problems of life and respect, trust etc...one can only imagine the mountain of problems which would come from having married priests...and the costs to a Church which already is loosing income daily...

I was in court,to see this Lady give evidence,I was ashamed of the Judge,ashamed of the Defence Barrister, this was in all aspects,a trial by old men trying to protect ,the Church,and nothing to do with justice for this victim of clerical child abuse.Their were 100 in court,99% were men,when will the courts learn,that for this Lady,to give evidence in front of all these men,is wrong,it is not justice,but a show for men who have got nothing better to do.

As soon as the letter about compensation was brought up,I new the case was lost.I think her Legal team were lacking, in knowing what this case was all about.

This is the second time this Judge has let off Duane,I would like to ask,"when will his victims get justice",in that court,with that Judge,I am sorry to say,never.

I have experience of this subject,in England,and I have to say,victims there get treated most compassionately,and fairly.In my case,justice was done,the priest,got 21 years.

I can only say here and now,shame on this countries Justice system.
